Jeanie Potter is a manager at Blue Baron Energy, LLC where she has been instrumental in developing the Lease Administration departmental structure and procedures.  Jeanie’s career began in the oil and gas industry in 1981. 

Before joining Blue Baron in 2020, she served in various supervisory capacities including Director of Lease Administration / Division Orders and Lease Records Manager working from small company settings to international corporations. 

She was appointed co-leader of a cross-organizational management team to develop enhanced workflows.  In that role, Jeanie devoted her vast industry expertise to implementing improved inter-departmental structure within the company she served. 

She was a guest speaker at the 7th Annual OCAPLTA Land Symposium presenting her perspective on “The Evolution of Lease Records, Reporting and Data Mining” and was also appointed to attend the Women in Leadership Conference and the Purple Sash event as company representative. 

Jeanie owned and operated her own private venture with producing properties for 12 years.  Her career includes experience in:

• Land, Lease Records,

• Operations, Engineering,

• Accounting, Regulatory Compliance,

• Gas Marketing and

• Environmental Field Inspections. 

She has extensive experience in title curative, negotiations, acquiring leasehold, client relations, assessment of leasehold on major plays, lease analysis and obligations, due diligence, acquisitions, quality control, regulatory compliance, revenue distribution, and joint interest billing. 

Jeanie enjoys time with her family and is an active member of her community and church.
